Alex Errors

There are two main types of errors you'll see in Alex.

1. Administrator Password

-- I've noticed that this error usually happens after a software update.
-- It pops up as a log-in box, but you aren't able to use the regular Alex log-in. It's asking for an administrator username and password.

-- You will have to put a help ticket in for this to be fixed. I usually write the following:

"We are unable to log-in to Alex. It's asking for an administrator password."

-- This type of error is a quick fix. The tech department usually sees it and fixes it right away.

2. Loss of Alex Server

-- Looks like this:

-- The problem may be solved by waiting for the server to go back online. In that case you can just shut down and try again later.

-- If the problem is taking too long (or you need to get back online for classes), you can contact Companion for help. They should be able to walk you through the steps to get back online. **See the Contacting Companion tab for contact info.
